Shortcut keys

Midivid has 3 very useful shortcut keys. These keys allow you to use Midivid on stage if you forgot your mouse, and clear events that might crash live.

1. When you are in edit mode, hit the tilde key (~) to go into full screen mode.
2. In full screen mode
hit the escape key to go back to edit mode.
3. In full screen mode, hitting the space bar sends an all notes off message to the program. This is good for clearing stuck notes right away when playing live.

Video sequencing

By dowloading & installing a freeware virtual device driver called a midi loopback device on your system, you can control midivid from a sequencer running on the same computer. Linking Midi software together via a loopback device is easy. Once the device is installed, it will show up in the midi device menus of your midi software.

Set your sequencer program to send out midi using a loopback device and set the Midivid pull down box in the "Performance Options" menu to receive on the same device. From here on your sequencer will control midivid and a whole new world will open up before your eyes.

Now you can sequence audio, midi and video files on one machine, and truly "compose" multimedia musically.
